Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bills are mailed in August to the owner of record on April 1.

This fee is charged by our third-party payment processor, Maine Payport, and does not go to the City. This payment service is also used at City Hall for all credit and debit card payments.
Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bill payments may be made in-person at City Hall, 6 Church Street during normal operating hours. Check, cash, and credit/debit accepted.

The city offers a Tax Club each year. To be eligible, you must be current on your taxes. The tax bill is divided into 9 monthly installments, beginning in September, and ending in May. The benefit to the club is that you do not accrue interest while paying.
