The City of Gardiner completed a Climate Vulnerability Assessment to evaluate the risks extreme weather poses to critical community infrastructure, particularly in areas prone to flooding along the Kennebec River.

The findings will help develop strategies to enhance resilience and support future planning efforts aligned with Maine’s climate action plan, “Maine Won’t Wait.”

Through community engagement, residents and stakeholders provided input and shared concerns. This project was fully supported by a Maine Community Resilience Partnership grant.

The City of Gardiner contracted with Haley Ward and their team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers to assist with this project.
