Property Revaluation Underway

The City has begun its citywide property revaluation, running through 2026 and wrapping up in summer 2027. We've contracted KRT Appraisal of Haverhill, MA to complete the work.

What to expect:

KRT staff are visiting every property in Gardiner to measure structures and do a quick interior inspection. This keeps your property information accurate.

Work is starting in July 2026 in the Highland Avenue, Spring Street, Northern Avenue, and West Hill Road areas.

You'll get a postcard before KRT works in your neighborhood — expect a visit within 60 days after it arrives.

How to know it's really KRT:

• Their vehicles display "Assessing Office" signs and staff carry KRT credentials.
• Photos of the current data collectors can be viewed here: photo IDs(PDF, 484KB)  
• Not sure who's at your door? Call City Hall at 207-582-4200 or the Police Department at 207-582-3211.

You're not required to let anyone inside — but allowing the inspection makes your assessment more accurate and helps protect your appeal rights.
