Established in 2019, the Gardiner Dog Park was the passion project of local dog-loving residents. During the Gardiner Heart & Soul planning process from 2011-2013 these community members voiced a clear desire for a safe, worry-free space where their dogs could run and play freely.
The City of Gardiner graciously provided the property, which sits nestled between Water Street and the Cobbossee Stream. Funding to establish the dog park was organized by Gardiner Main Street and community members, raised through generous donations and proceeds from Barks in the Park festival events over several years.
The park features a secure, fully fenced area with a double-gated entrance. Parking is conveniently available directly off the main road.
Follow the path down the hill, and the space opens up, providing ample room for epic canine fun!
Since the park is built and maintained by community volunteers, we kindly ask that you follow a strict carry in, carry out policy.
Thank you for helping us keep the park pristine by removing all trash and pet waste.
