Dry Conditions - No smoking on City Property.

Due to continued dry conditions and elevated wildfire danger across the state-we offer a reminder that all City of Gardiner property, including the Waterfront, are tobacco free and smoking is prohibited. Also the State of Maine online burn permit system remains shut down while the wildfire danger rating is HIGH or above.

Land Use Permit Applications

Property owners/contractors are encouraged to contact the City Code Enforcement Office with any questions about permits before beginning construction, replacement or repairs.

Depending on the complexity, the time frame for building permit approval is less than five days, although more complete permit reviews may take longer. The permit review time allowed by the Land Use Ordinance is 14 days.
