The Gardiner Police Department is currently seeking candidates for an open Patrol Officer position.
The Police Department is currently accepting applications for an open patrol officer position. Starting pay is $26.78 (entry) to $38.88 (10-year step) depending on the candidate’s years of law enforcement experience before education or military stipend.
Comprehensive Benefits Package: (includes but not limited to)
- Lateral hire up to 10 years’ (contractual top step) experience with vacation accrual adjustments.

Requirements:
- Possess a valid Maine driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days after employment start date.
- Must be in good physical condition and health.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation, medical evaluation and possibly a polygraph and psychological examination if warranted.
