This supervisory position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the treatment plant, pump stations, laboratory, sludge disposal; as well as pretreatment coordination when required.
Work involves insuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, monitoring all mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, dewatering and RBC system according to established standards. Daily tasks include testing and compliance reporting with all Federal and State requirements. Supervisory duties include training personnel.
State of Maine Grade II Wastewater Certificate with the expectation to obtain a grade IV within 2 years of hire.
Two years of supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience. Significant wastewater or related experience desired.
