Effective Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the City of Gardiner has posted roads and will be enforcing weight restrictions on the following:

• Capen Rd
• Central St
• Cherry St
• Commonwealth St
• Costello Rd
• Cottage St
• Dresden Ave
• Griffin St
• Harrison Ave
• High Holborn St
• Hillcrest St
• Libby Hill Rd                           
• Lincoln St
• Marston Rd
• Mattson Heights
• Mt. Vernon Ave
• Old Brunswick Rd
• Plaisted St
• Sherburne Ave
• Spring St
• Washington St
• Weeks Rd
• West Hill Rd
• West St
• Willow St
• Winter St

The City of Gardiner's Road Posting Ordinance purpose is to prevent damage to city ways and bridges in the City of Gardiner which may be caused by vehicles of excessive weight, to lessen safety hazards and the risk of injury to the traveling public, to extend the life expectancy of city ways and bridges, and to reduce the public expense of their maintenance and repair.
