REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSALS
The City of Gardiner Public Works Department is requesting written bid proposals for a frontmounted snow blower attachment suitable for installation and operation on a Volvo L90 wheel loader, or equivalent compatible loader. The proposed equipment shall be capable of highvolume municipal snow removal operations, including loading snow into dump trucks and casting snow away from roadways, lots, and public works areas.
Equipment Description
The proposed snow blower shall be a heavy-duty, loader-mounted snow blower attachment designed for municipal and commercial snow removal. The attachment shall be compatible with a Volvo L90 wheel loader and shall include all mounting, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and control components required for safe and complete operation.
Minimum Technical Specifications
- Front-mounted snow blower attachment compatible with a Volvo L90 wheel loader, or approved equivalent.
- Quick-disconnect or quick-coupler mounting system for efficient attachment and removal.
- Snow moving capacity of approximately 300 tons per hour, or the closest available manufacturer-rated capacity.
- Capable of loading snow into standard municipal dump trucks.
- Telescopic chute suitable for truck loading and controlled snow discharge.
- Operator-controlled chute rotation and deflection from inside the loader cab.
- Heavy-duty auger, fan, impeller, or equivalent snow processing system suitable for municipal winter operations.
- Replaceable cutting edge, skid shoes, and wear components where applicable.
- All required controls, hoses, fittings, mounting hardware, guards, and safety features included in the bid price.
Proposal Submission Requirements
Each proposal shall include, at minimum, the following information:
- Manufacturer, model, and complete description of the proposed snow blower attachment.
- Detailed list of specifications, including capacity, chute type, mounting system, required hydraulic flow or power source, controls, overall dimensions, and weight.
- Statement of compatibility with a Volvo L90 wheel loader, including any required adapter, coupler, hydraulic, electrical, or control modifications.
- Warranty information and available service support.
- Availability, estimated production or lead time, and proposed date of delivery.
- Total bid price, including delivery, setup, and any required installation components.

Evaluation and Award
The City of Gardiner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid for any reason whatsoever and to accept alternatives to the above specifications whenever the municipal officers, in their sole and absolute discretion, deem such action to be in the best interests of the City. The City anticipates notifying the winning bidder by Monday, July 20, 2026.
